Flickr.com photoI wondered why the website for "Texas Towing" in San Antonio still described the company as the "Official Police Tow" for San Antonio...
In response to my inquiries, somebody in a position to know communicated the following information:

Assuming the termination letter goes through (and that is a big assumption, as the firm has all but said it will sue to try stopping the termination from taking effect, the action would not begin (i.e., the firm removed as the city's tow operator) until the fall.
So I assume [Texas Towing] can continue to call themselves the city's "official" tow firm until then.

I guess when Texas Towing says "official," what they actually mean is "officially designated until ousted by legal means."
